Meat, Poultry & Salmon
We source certified organic meat, poultry and salmon when this is available. When not, we source the best we can taking account of farming practices, feed used, stocking density, processing methods, locality and cost.
All our chicken is certified organic. Our beef and lamb is certified to the farm gate but loses its certification during processing. Pork is free-range and sausages are gluten-free. The salmon we source is fed sustainable non-GMO feed, no hormones or antibiotics and is farmed in a low-density manner.

Poultry from Westwoods in West Melton (BG certified); Bostock’s in North Island (AQ certified) including whole chicken sizes 9 – 24; breasts; drums; nibbles; thighs (boned or not); wings; frames; necks and occasionally feet. Stock birds and our own Taste Nature frozen chicken stock & broths.
Beef from BONZ/processed by Deep Creek Deli & Mountain Valley Organic Meats (Otautau) including mince; snitzel; diced; silverside; skirt steak; rump steak; chuck steak; fillet steak, ribeye/porterhouse; ribeye scotch fillet; roast, stewing steak and beef bones.
Lamb mince from Mountain Valley Organic Meats. Lamb backstraps and mince from BONZ/Deep Creek Deli.
Pork from Deep Creek Deli (from Harmony Farm) includes bacon, sausages, chops and mince. Nitrate-free bacon and bacon hocks can be ordered in from Havoc Farm (Oamaru).
Salmon from Akaroa Salmon – fresh steaks and boneless fillets or hot & cold smoked pieces or sliced.
